My research interests lie in combing physiology, energetics and behaviour to understand the mechanistic processes underlying ecological patterns we see in the wild. I am a postdoctoral research associate with the EcoWind-ACCELERATE project based at Bangor University and University of Liverpool. This aims to investigate the cumulative effects of offshore wind farms and climate change on seabed habitats and how these may impact the relationship between seabirds and their prey. Using the Eastern Irish Sea as a case study this work combines high resolution accelerometer and GPS data, fish echosounder data and dietary analysis to better understand the link between habitat, prey and predator.
